These women make me lose faith in the US education system. That any of these idiots could be held in a position of high regard makes me sick to my stomach. None of them have a basic understanding of the scientific method, the difference between the layman’s “theory” and the true definition of the word, the Theory of Evolution, the separation of the church and state, and that Reality does not reflect what you believe, but rather that what you believe SHOULD be affected by reality. There is no belief to “choose” when it comes to science, there’s only the cold, unalterable evidence, and you can either find fault with it and fix the information, or find no fault with it and accept it. There’s no looking at two mutually exclusive sets of information, and deciding which one is true because it makes you happier, or feel safer, or whatever reason you may have for that decision aside that there’s no other alternative, and that the data fits exactly.
I don’t believe it myself, but these women have pissed me off to a very thorough extent, listening to 51 women (alright, 50, because Ms. Connecticut’s answer was brilliant) prattle on about teaching “both sides” as though they were conflicting testimonials has made me sick.
