Insomniatic Inspiration
“You’re in our prayers.”
A fairly mostly statement posted on my facebook wall after posting that I was sick and might not be able to go to work tomorrow. I usually wouldn’t give it a second glance; for prayer (according to the movie “Finding Forrester”) “(prayer) …is like believing in luck, it doesn’t hurt anyone and there’s the...

My "Problem" with religion. →
When people ask what my ‘problem’ is with religion, I have a hundred thousand things go through my head, and it all comes to my mouth to come out as a poorly-worded ramble that doesn’t make much of an argument. I’ve found myself to be much more put-together in my writings rather than my speech; it helps to be able to look back and review what you’ve already put down...

Late for Valentine's Day
I know this post is late for V-Day. I was busy with other things.
vfanggirlv asked: If you were someone else, would you be friends with you? Why or why not?... The wording of that question bothers me. Eh, whatever. You know what I mean.

Q: What if there was empirical evidence that God exists? What if it can be proven? What if, one day, we DO "prove" that God is real?
A: Then I would fucking believe in God.

If you don’t know, Jessica Ahlquist is a 16 year old girl who wanted a school prayer mural removed as it was unconstitutional. A judge ruled in her favour. You should see the disgusting abuse she’s getting. From every angle; Twitter, Facebook, comments…

MOULIN ROUGE PRIORITIES
According to Moulin Rouge, the four virtues Bohemia aspire to are “Freedom, Beauty, Truth, and Love.” To all my artistic friends, how would you prioritize these virtues in your own artistic sense? For me, it would be:
4. Beauty - The world can sometimes be harsh and ugly, this must be embraced if Beauty is to be truly appreciated; unfortunately, it is subjective and therefore a...

Another Illness Writing
For those of you who have known me a while, I’m sure you’ve been expecting this. I’m sick, therefore, I think, and because I think, I must write. I have a very stream-of-consciousness style to my “illness writings” as I call them. In fact, I’m typing with my eyes closed in a completely darkened room because the light from the computer screen makes my head throb.
This sickness was contracted in...

THE CRAZY THINGS I DO UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES
The Circumstance: A day off from work
Normal Reaction: Relax, spend some time at home, maybe go out with friends later.
My Reaction: Sit at home wondering what the hell normal people do on their days off, go online to research what they do, scoff at the mundane nature of what they do, and wind up watching seven hours of Science Documentaries on Netflix.

Burning the Qur'an
I found on my facebook newsfeed the question: “Is it OK to burn the Koran?” I answered “Yes” out of the options Yes, No, Maybe, and I Don’t Know. Here’s the message I gave with it.
The burning of books— something associated with the reprehensible act of trying to rid the world of an idea— has long been a standard of being closed-minded and...

I just want to know: When did the term “atheist” come to imply a wicked, EVIL kind of person?
I want to change the world for the better. I’ve chosen the wrong career.
I DON'T GET IT.
Why do I constantly seek to separate myself from the pack? Am I so desperate to be an individual, I leave myself all alone with no one else to share it with? I need to set up what my priorities are… Do I become one of the faceless to feel loved, or do I stay true to myself and stand by myself forevermore?
There may be a middle ground, but who I am is not something I can compromise on....
